Abstract Submission Instructions

DEADLINE: Abstracts must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. CST on February 1, 2026

General Information: You are encouraged to submit original research or clinical cases for poster or oral presentation. Presentations should consist of original, completed work that has not been accepted for publication in a journal.

Authors need to be aware of patent considerations before submitting abstracts for publication.

Authors can only be the presenting author on one presentation (either oral or poster) at #ISEET2026; plenary lectures are exempted. Please factor this into your abstract submissions.

No-Show Policy: If an abstract is accepted for presentation, the author(s) must register for ISEET to present and answer questions. If a presenter is not registered for the meeting by May 1, 2026, the abstract will not be published. It will be removed from the program and will no longer be scheduled for presentation at the meeting.

Abstract Submission Guidelines: All abstracts must be submitted to our online abstract submission portal and be written in English.

Authors whose native language is not English are strongly advised to have their manuscripts checked by an English-speaking colleague prior to submission. Abstracts that do not conform to standard English style, usage, or grammar will be returned to the authors for modification prior to scientific review.

Abstract Categories

Immediately after entering your author and institution information, you will be asked to categorize your abstract by selecting:

  • Your Section Preferences (first and second). A full list of available sections is shown below.

The following are sections to which you may submit your abstract:

  • Follicle Development
  • In Vivo Embryo Recovery and Handling

  • Recipient Mare Management, Pregnancy, and Pregnancy Loss
  • Genetics and Genomics

Format of Text

  • Arial, 10-point font

  • One paragraph with no breaks (except acknowledgements, which can be a new paragraph)
  • Title centered and in bold
  • Author(s) and affiliation(s) centered

Figures, Tables, and Footnotes

Figures, tables, and footnotes are discouraged, but are counted in the total word count if included.

References

References are counted in the total word count of the abstract. References should be written in line with the text (not as a separate section), and the format should be minimal.

Example: Squires et al. (Animal Reproduction. 2005; 58:211-213)

It will not be possible to submit abstracts after the deadline (February 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CST). When you submit your abstract, you will be given a tracking number and password. Make a note of these; they will allow you to revise your submitted abstract at any time prior to the deadline.

Space limitations allow a maximum of 500 words, with 50 words for authors and affiliations and 450 words for the title, abstract, acknowledgments, references, figures, and tables. Begin the count at the title and end the count with the last keyword or the end of a table, if one is included. The abstract submission system will flag abstracts that exceed the word limit. Special characters, such as Greek letters and mathematic symbols, can be inserted via the electronic submission form.

Abstract Requirements: The author submitting the abstract is responsible for its content and the quality of the preparation.

Abstracts are required for posters and oral presentations that would like to be considered for presentation at the 2026 International Symposium on Equine Embryo Transfer and Technology.

The ISEET 2026 Scientific Committee is responsible for accepting or rejecting abstracts. Criteria for acceptance or rejection will include those outlined here and in the “Quality Standards for Abstracts” document. The Research Committee will also consider originality, clarity, and merit. Consolidation of results into one combined abstract is urged whenever possible.

Author Notification: Authors will be emailed by March 15, 2026, indicating the status (accept or reject) of their abstract.
