Luis Losinno, DVM, PhD, graduated with a DVM from the National University of Río Cuarto (Córdoba, Argentina) and completed his PhD under the mentorship of G. L. Woods at the Northwest Equine Reproduction Laboratory at the University of Idaho[KS1] (Moscow, ID). He is a tenured professor of equine production (1985–2025) in the Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine at the National University of Río Cuarto. Losinno is the director of the Equine Production and Animal Biotechnology Laboratory, former director of the master’s program in equine production at the National University of Río Cuarto, and academic director of the Equine Production Diplomate program (e-quine ACADEMY). He has supervised 11 PhD theses, 12 master’s theses, and more than 350 research assistants and fellows. Additionally, he has directed research projects funded by national, provincial, private, and international organizations. His scientific output (1989–2025) includes more than 120 peer-reviewed abstracts and publications. He has contributed to 18 books and book chapters as editor and co-editor (2009–2025). He has been an invited speaker at over 400 conferences and seminars in Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Uruguay, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Mexico, Spain, Portugal, the United States, China, Serbia, Austria, and Qatar. Losinno is a cofounder and first president of the Latin American Society of Animal Reproduction (Sociedad Latinoamericana de Reproducción Animal) and was an organizing committee member of the XIII International Symposium on Equine Reproduction (2023). He is also the cofounder of CARD (Consultants in Animal Research & Development) Solutions, a global consulting firm in research, production, and development programs in animal science (2022), and Equslac, the first donkey milk–production company in Argentina. In 2023, he cofounded and became the academic director of e-quine ACADEMY.
